About Annabelle

Tell us a bit about you

I have worked in various practices throughout my training and my first job as an RVN was in a referral practice where I worked for a year. In the future I would love to do further qualifications in anaesthesia.

Have you ever treated an unusual pet or species?

I haven’t but I fly out to South Africa next month to do conservation work, so I’m sure my answer will have changed after my trip!

Do you have any qualifications or additional training?

I have completed an FdSc in Veterinary Nursing which qualifies me as an RVN. I am topping this course up to a BSc which is due to finish next year.

I am also qualified in bovine artificial insemination.

What does your job entail on a day-to-day basis?

My job varies hugely which is why I love it so much. This can include monitoring anaesthetics, assisting with surgeries/procedures, consulting, in-patient care and so much more.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I really enjoy anaesthesia and I am excited to get involved with some of the more complex cases that we see here at Knutsford.

Favourite film?

I’m not really into films but my favourite books would have to be The Beekeeper of Aleppo or The Book Thief.

What other interests do you have outside of work?

I love to travel, particularly if it involves working with animals abroad, I find it very rewarding. I also enjoy horse riding and going to the gym.

My Favourite dog walk in Cheshire

The Cloud in Congleton.
