Tell us a bit about you
I’m Melissa and I joined the team at Knutsford Vets in April 2023 as the Practice Administrator. Previously, I spent 10 years in accounts in the dairy industry. I am a proud parent to a young child.
Do you have any qualifications or additional training?
AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting
National Certificate in Animal Management
Fire Marshal Training
What does your job entail on a day-to-day basis?
My role is behind the scenes in the office, I am the senior fire marshal together with Holly. I am responsible for the administration and credit control of the practice, booking meetings and keeping the vets diary organised and running smoothly. I also contact clients when their insurance claims have been settled and resolve any invoice queries.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy that my role is quite varied as I have the opportunity to work across the whole team. Although my role is office based I do enjoy listening to the cases and how our furry friends are getting on.
Favourite film?
I love most 90’s films but it has got to be Jurassic Park.
What other interests do you have outside of work?
When I have spare time I enjoy hiking, bike rides and reading.
My Favourite dog walk in Cheshire
I don’t currently own a dog but I love walking in Marbury Park or around Grappenhall Heys walled gardens.
