About Holly
Holly has been our Head Nurse at Knutsford Vets since we opened in 2014. She plays a big role in delivering many of the excellent services that Knutsford Vets offer. These include include the six month health checks and a range of scans and procedures. Holly’s completed a BSC (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and BSAVA Merit Awards in Anaesthesia and Dermatology. Her valuable experience also allows us to train new members of staff and student veterinary nurses.
Holly’s day-to-day tasks are a varied. They consist of working with the team to set up and prepare for operations, undertaking nurse consultation and managing the nursing team. General nursing tasks include x-rays and ultrasound investigations and monitoring patients during general anaesthesia. Our nurses also take care of the patients that are admitted for surgical or medical reasons; assist with laboratory tests and performing dental mapping; scaling and polishing.
Outside of work, Holly likes to travel, trace her family tree and take care of her demanding ginger cat, Ron. Her hidden talent is rapping every word in Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio. She enjoys watching musicals and Indiana Jones films. The most unusual animal that Holly treated was a tortoise with a broken leg.
