Tell us a bit about you

I joined the team at Knutsford Vets early in 2024, previously to this I have worked in the Veterinary industry for 7 years as a receptionist but now changing my role and becoming a Veterinary Care Assistant.

In January my Black Lab Bella sadly passed away however I have recently rehomed a 8 month old Bichon called Rosie.

Have you ever treated an unusual pet or species?

I haven’t treated one myself but with previously working in an exotic practice I saw quite a few unusual pets, such as a Meerkats, Axolotls and ducks.

Do you have any qualifications or additional training?

Level 3 Diploma in Animal Management.

What does your job entail on a day-to-day basis?

My job entails preparing equipment for patient procedures, helping vets with consults, liaising with nurses regards to inpatients and cleaning.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love getting to know new patients and their owners. Making sure everyone feels more at ease as times can be a very stressful experience at the vet so ensuring owners and their pets feel the best standard of care is given.

What other interests do you have outside of work?

In my spare time I like to go out for meals with friends, spending time with family, going to concerts or musicals and dog walks.

My favourite dog walks are Delamere Forest and Brereton Heath Nature Reserve.
