Do you have a new puppy?
We’re passionate about all things canine. Giving your puppy the right start in life is vital to their long term health and happiness and to ensure they are well behaved into adulthood. That’s why we run Puppy Workshop classes under the guidelines of the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme.
Following these classes, more advanced Bronze, Silver, and Gold puppy classes are run by Kennel Club registered trainer, Nigel Woodall who is knowledgeable in all things puppy classes and dog training. In addition to this, he is a Kennel Club Examiner and has worked to correct canine behavioural problems in all areas, with much success.

Where is it held?
Our puppy classes are held in our new indoor area at Knutsford Vets. We are located on the Fryers Nurseries site on Manchester Road, Knutsford. We have plenty of warm, light and indoor space, as well as flexible seating around the side of our room.
We also have an outdoor garden area too, although due to light and the weather this may not be used at certain times of the year.
What can you expect from the puppy classes?
During the classes a Kennel Club registered trainer covers the following:
- lead walking
- meet and greet
- sit
- down
- food manners
- toilet training
- addresses common questions (individual to each class) such as how do I stop my puppy jumping/biting, how do I introduce crate training
- How to brush their teeth
- how to examine your pet and what is normal?
- what food and how much?
- why vaccinate? what against? how is it done?
- what parasites should owners be concerned about? How are they prevented?
What participants said about our puppy classes:
I asked Nigel to meet Toby, my spaniel, after he chased a cat onto the main road. I was unable to get him to come when called and worried what harm he would come to whilst off the lead. Nigel has been able to ensure he returns to my heel whenever asked and Toby enjoys his walks more since I have the confidence to let him roam without restraint. I would highly recommend his training sessions – Lucie Reese
